Eligibility Criteria

The borrower must be:

  • An individual entrepreneur or merchant, or
    other legal entity engaged in income-generating
    activities
  • Someone who has been in business for at least 6
    months
  • Able to demonstrate a proper recording system and
    the capability of operating a business profitably
  • In possession of assets or collaterals (e.g., business
    equipment, vehicle, house or land)
  • A Zambian citizen
  • Residing and operating in Zambia
  • Able to provide a guarantor
  • A holder of a regular savings account with EFC
    Zambia

REQUIREMENTS

 Individual Businesses

  • Copy of Client’s National Registration Card 
  • Proof of residence (Utility bills or other refs) 
  • 2 Passport-size photos for borrower 
  • Tax Clearance Certificate

Salaried Clients

  • 3 months Pay slip 
  • 3 months Bank Statement 
  • Employer Introductory Letter 
  • Copy of existing employment contract 
  • MoU between the client’s employer and EFC 
  • Copy of Client’s National Registration Card 
  • Proof of residence (Utility bills or other refs), 
  • 2 Passport-size photos for borrower 
  • TPIN 

Enterprises 

  • Articles of Association 
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Business Registration—Form 2
