Mrs Helen Samatebele

Helen Samatebele possesses 35 years of management experience in, among other disciplines, corporate governance, strategic planning and risk management, business development, policy formulation, and financial management across government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. Hellen also has vast board experience, having served on many boards such as the Stanbic Bank Zambia Board for several years, the Tobacco Board of Zambia, Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia, Maamba Collieries, and the Civil Society for Poverty Reduction Board.

She holds a diploma in nutrition from the Natural Resources Development College in Zambia and several certificates in various disciplines such as management of enterprise development, corporate governance, and, human resource management. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors in Zambia.

Mr. Gerald Gore

Advanced Management Program (INSEAD-France), Master in Business Leadership (UNISA-SA), Executive Development Program (Wits Business School-SA), MSc in Finance & Investments (NUST), BCom Honours in Banking. Mr. Gore worked for several banks including Barclays Bank, Interfin Merchant Bank and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe from 2000 to early 2008. He is a qualified banker with experience in strategic management, risk, treasury and lending, coupled with progressive years in driving change initiatives aimed at driving performance in banking institutions. He joined NMB Bank on 1 July 2008 as Head of Risk, rose to the position of Chief Risk Officer before his appointment to the position of Chief Operating Officer in December 2015. He was elevated to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer in September 2019. In January 2022, he was appointed GCEO of NMBZ Holdings Limited and was responsible for transforming the Group from a single subsidiary to a fully-fledged Digital Bank with multiple subsidiaries and regional operations

Janice Matwi is an accomplished Executive and Non-Executive Director (NED) with a distinguished career in driving organisational growth through strategic leadership and digital transformation. Specialising in enabling high-performing teams to excel, Janice has a proven ability to foster collaboration, innovation, and operational efficiency. Her expertise lies in guiding businesses through transformative change, leveraging technology to enhance productivity, and creating sustainable value. As a board advisor, she provides strategic oversight on digital transformation initiatives, helping organizations adapt to technological advancements and thrive in competitive markets.

With extensive experience across financial technology, telecommunications and consumer goods sectors, Janice has held key leadership roles that underscore her ability to deliver impactful results. She holds an MBA from Essex Business School, a Diploma in Project Management with Cambridge and holds Marketing qualifications with Edinburgh Business School and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).  Known for her thought leadership, she frequently shares insights on topics such as digital innovation, SME growth and scaling up, team performance, inclusion and diversity and sustainable business practices.

Mr. Morgan Chiselebwe

Morgan Chiselebwe is an accomplished executive leader and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience steering financial strategy, and corporate governance across the banking, energy, construction, and freight logistics sectors. Throughout his career, Morgan has specialized in financial and strategic modeling, risk management, fiduciary governance, budgeting, internal and external audit infrastructure, and the optimization of institutional financial management systems. His extensive corporate oversight portfolio includes previous Board tenures with the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCAA), the Zambia Air Services Training Institute (ZASTI), and Habitat for Humanity Zambia. He holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Copperbelt University (Zambia). Professionally, he is a Fellow of both the ACCA (UK) and ZICA, an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (UK), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). As a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Zambia and a certified trainer in Corporate Governance, Morgan brings deep fiduciary expertise, risk management acumen, and strategic vision to the Board.

Dr. Charity Chitalu-Mwanza

Dr. Charity Chitalu-Mwanza is a seasoned business change leader with massive experience leading digital transformation, corporate strategy, business development and financial sector innovation. She has held senior executive roles—including CEO and Head of Strategy & Innovation —where she delivered enterprise-wide transformation programs, established innovation labs, strengthened governance structures, and championed digital financial inclusion.

As Founder and Managing Director of Hitalys Consultancy Services, Dr. Chitalu-Mwanza advises boards, financial institutions, fintechs, and MSMEs on strategy execution, risk oversight, digital enablement, and organizational transformation. She is recognized for her ability to align technology, governance, and business growth priorities, while ensuring transparency, accountability, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Dr. Mwanza holds a PhD in Business and Management, an MBA, and multiple professional certifications in digital finance, governance, and project management. She is a member of the Institute of Directors Zambia and a respected facilitator for executive and leadership development across the continent.

Mrs Chawe Perpetual Mpande-Chuulu

A Member of the Institute of Directors of Zambia , holds a Bachelors from the  University  of Zambia , Master of Science  Economics  from the  University  of London School of Economics funded as a  prestigious UK Foreign and Commonwealth  Office Chevening Scholar;   has undertaken  Executive   Courses in trade, environment , intellectual  property  and competition policy from the United Nations Environment  Program(UNEP), WTO,  International  Development Law Organisation(IDLO), World Intellectual  Property  Organisation (WIPO) and University  of Columbia School of International   and Public Affairs. Ms Chawe Perpetual Mpande-Chuulu is an international trade policy, and economic development expert with over 30 years of experience leading multi-country trade capacity building, policy advisory, and program development across Africa. Her extensive background includes decades of leadership in regional economic integration initiatives   notably serving in Project Management roles,  rising to  Trade  Advisor and Executive  Support Coordinator   Office of  Secretary General at the Common Market  for Eastern and Southern  Africa (COMESA) Secretariat . In her  years at  COMESA she  worked on  multi-million    funded   programs that supported trade agreement  negotiations, policy reforms for   liberal market access, regulatory frameworks, and private sector development  in liaison with   international  organisations including the European  Union,  Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States(ACP), African Union, African  Development  Bank (AfDB) , World Trade Organisation(WTO), World Bank, Southern African Development  Community (SADC) and the  East African  Community(EAC) . Prior to joining COMESA, Ms Mpande-Chuulu   held  positions   as  German government  funded Social Impact Advisor at the Zambia Privatisation  Agency, Chief Economist Zambia Association of Chambers of  Commerce and Industry (ZAACI) and Policy Officer in the Ministry of Education  of the Republic of Zambia. Recently she held Senior government positions of Permanent Secretary at  Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry and  Special Duties  Cabinet Office of the President of the  Republic of Zambia. In these positions, she served as Chief Trade Negotiator, provided oversight of seven strategic business support organisations, coordinated muti-ministry major regional trade initiatives: such as the critical minerals Congo DR-Zambia Transboundary Electric Vehicle & Battery Initiative,Tripartite Angola-Congo DR-Zambia  Lobito Corridor Agreement, Mwami-Mchinji with  Malawi and Kasomeno-Mwenda with DRC One Stop  Border Posts. Ms Mpande-Chuulu brings robust governance and commercial leadership experience through her board service on the Investment Committees of  the Mpulungu  Harbour Corporation and Zambian government apex state owned enterprise the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). She  serves as shareholder  and Executive Director of   a green property development   Kalonga Creek Estate.
